The Endless Cycle

Think about your life.

Every morning, the dreadfulness of waking up early and forcing yourself out of bed. Then having to frantically rush around the house to get everything done before heading off for work or school.. The tiresome day then starts. Work, work & work...
As the day draws near, you're completely fatigued, wasted. You're finally in the comfort of your home after a long day. However, you've been handed stack loads of homework & assignments throughout the day to do, what rest is there?
You stay up till late at night to do more work. As you finish, as you slip into bed and close your eyes into slumber, you feel you deserve a long night's rest. But as soon as the world goes dark, it starts all over again, the alarm ring, the struggle to get out of bed, the continuous cycle of a busy life...

Why are you doing all this?
Isn't this cycle just full of stress & discomfort?
Where will it take you? To a prestigious university? To a good job?
And then where?
Why am I caught in this cycle?

Let's take big step back.

There is a God.
He creates man.
He loves him, and only wishes that he does the same.

So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

There was just that.
It was peaceful, they were given jobs to look after the earth, to work the soil & to have a relationship with Him for the rest of eternity.
That was all.

So why are we caught in this frantic cycle?
Why aren't we living in serenity, enjoying a relationship with Him?
Why are facing struggles everyday, trying to do our best in school, to finish our homework, to live a good life, but finding our lives too busy for God?
Weren't we initially made for God?

Sin.
It clouds our minds.
It makes work seem like a need for survival & the path to success in this world.
Work becomes something we feel we are solely made to do.
It has just become all work, work & work until we meet our graves.

We know that all this hard work is a result of sin.
We know that all the hard work we do is for His glory.
We know that we need strength from Him.. but time just doesn't seem to permit it with all the work..

So slowly, work becomes our lives.
God just becomes someone who is just there to hold everything from falling into chaos, to push us on, & to maybe even give us a purpose to keep working... But really, I feel we've got it all wrong...

We were made for God, & God alone.

God breathed us into existence because He wanted someone to share His love with.
God created us in His image, so that we could please Him by being beautiful like Him.
God created us to be His & to magnify His glory.

Isn't it quite amazing?
God chose us to reflect His glory.

That is purely what we were created for.

All the work we have been given is just another opportunity in our lives to glorify our LORD. Why would we want to waste any of it?

So instead of us being so busy with all the work in our lives, we should instead remember to be so focused in trying to glorify Him in our lives first. We should be continuously seeking Him, to know Him better, to build a stronger relationship with Him in our daily lives.

Then once we've got that sorted, we can take on all the work He's given us, To do the best in everything we do, so that we may really live up to the full potential of His image in us - so that He may ultimately be glorified.

I pray that as we wake up to a new morning, we may all be reminded of the true purpose we were created for. Whatever work comes our way, I hope that we may make the most of it to continue to reflect God's unending glory in our lives - as we have been privileged & chosen to express such a beauty.

Until next time,

Godbless~
