God is Good, 'nuff said.

Every word we could ever come up with to describe God's greatness will always be such an indefinite understatement to how great He really is~

Good is a very vague word.
It was one of the words my teacher in intermediate 'banned' from our writing. She would make us think of other words in place of good. Amazing, wonderful, awesome, fabulous and the list can go on. But you've got the idea.

Good is the opposite of bad.
Bad can range from our daily discomforts to what really harms us. The unpleasant taste of a particular food, or an action that may hurt many, or even induce death.
We can decide if some things are bad or not, others are just inevitably bad.
If something doesn't match with our preferences we normally wouldn't consider it good, so it must be bad to some extent. Sin is just plain bad, full stop.
God is the opposite of bad.

Goodness radiates from God.
Wherever He goes, goodness pours out from Him.
Whatever He does, is only for a good cause.
Whenever He makes a decision, it's always at a good time.
He can only be good. Though don't think of this as a restriction.
Why be bad when you are good.
God is good.

There's probably been at least one time where you've doubted His goodness. I have.
Do we always know what's good?
Can you be certain all the decisions you've made today were good?
Have you never had any regrets?
Do you always follow God's guidance?
Are you even striving for goodness?

When we cry out in our hurt & no help comes.
When we're left helpless, stressed out, & feel no comfort.
When we're left running in circles with no way out.
When misfortunes just keep occurring though we're trying to trust Him with all we have.
When everything falls apart, all hope is gone, & noone's there to pick up the pieces.
When this world is so broken & it remains so.
Is God's goodness absent?

Goodness in our hurt is help. At hard times, it's comfort. In our struggles, it's a way out. In misfortunes, it's for them to stop. When things fall apart, it's for the pieces to come together. In this broken world, it's for fixation.
But that's our view of goodness. That's what seems be good to us at those particular times. Did it ever occur to you that maybe what we thought good at those times, wasn't actually good at all?

In our hurt, and when we're left helpless, when we're completely stressed out, at our end. God may give us more hurt. He may be silent. But He promises the wait is worth it. He reassures us He's with us every step of the way. He wants us to learn to be patience, to be strong when we're weak. At the end, though there was no comfort, doesn't He prove to be good? Doesn't it strengthen your relationship with Him? Doesn't it make you stronger? Isn't that good?

When we're left struggling. When we're not being freed from our chains. When we keep falling into temptation over and over again. If God just gave us a way out, & we take it, can you guarantee you won't go back? God is with us every step of the way in our struggle, though most of the time, we let go of His hand & go towards what seems good to us, the sole cause of the struggle. If we hold onto God's hand throughout our struggles, it'll open our eyes up to how good God really is, how much greater He is than the pleasures that made us struggle. Then, we'll be able look back & be thankful God didn't just provide a way out. Then you'll be reassured you completely overcame the struggle.

Sometimes it may feel like God created You so He could have the pleasure of making you feel bad. No matter how much you seek God, how much you strive to love Him, to be a disciple, everything seems to go wrong. Job is our greatest example of this. "In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil." But guess what happened to him. God took everything from him. All his sons and daughters died, all his possessions got stolen, he suddenly got boils all over his body, his wife thought of him crazy & disowned God, he was left to listen to three very unhelpful friends babble on. Life can't get any worse than this. Though it says, "In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing." He is a perfect example to follow. It's hard, but as Job is human as we are, it's possible. Also, it doesn't finish like this. Job stayed strong till the end, and in the end, God blessed him immensely. Remember, there's always a light at the end of the dark tunnel.

Through all our experiences, God always remains good no matter what.
In the storm, when it's all dark, the wind too strong to hold on, lightning blasting away like crazy, rain plummeting from the sky like fists, God's goodness prevails.
When we fall and our bones shatter, flesh tears open, God is good.
At the end, everyone will know someway or another.
God's goodness remains.

Godbless~
