A God who simply is~

I was reminded of a very important truth as I listened to a sermon at church this morning.

It's two simple words - "God IS"

This truth may be very simple, but it really means so much for us as believers in Christ.

Taken from the sermon - really nicely done

First of all, it completely reassures us of our faith. Not just that, it also solidifies it, so that we may not be shaken when questioned, but instead be able to stand strong & influence those that do question our faith.
Knowing for sure that He exists is probably one of the greatest truths we must assure ourselves of throughout our spiritual lives. So I pray that as we grow closer to Him, we may continue to know for ourselves that He is most definitely real so that we may not have any doubts in all circumstances.

Knowing that God IS, should also warn us that sin exists as well. It should warn us in a way that we may seek Him continuously so that we may grow closer to Him each day & farther from sin.
This should also remind us that He doesn't tolerate sin & of who we would be without Him - a purposeless piece of flesh corrupted with sin. It should most definitely humble us to our knees, making us realize how weak & pathetic we are but also how much greater & full of love He is. It should help us to realize how we're all the same, none better than the other, so that we may humbly share the love He has poured onto everyone.

Lastly, we're reassured of who He is, because of who He simply is. Which is love.
Though we were so useless, so helpless, so unwilling, He still came down from His glorious place to this dark world - all for us.
We can rejoice in His love for us, so that even if sin makes us stumble & feel so far from Him, we can remorsefully pick ourselves up & continue to glorify Him with our lives.
But at the same time, above all else, we should be infinitely grateful for what He's done for us, as we never did & never will deserve any of it. It should change our view of life, to help us rejoice in all things in all things that may cause us pain & to not take any blessings for granted.

So as we continue to live our lives, I pray that we may remember & rejoice in the truth that "God is"~

Until next time,
Godbless~
